Education Program - Certification Requirements
School Violence Prevention and Intervention Instruction
Teacher-candidates seeking teaching certification must complete a minimum of two clock hours of instruction in School Violence Prevention and Intervention. All candidates taking HED 310 at Plattsburgh after the spring 2001 semester and and EDU537 (after the fall 2005 semester) will have met this requirement. All other candidates should call their local BOCES for further information. A copy of BOCES' official certificate of completion must be forwarded to the Graduate Advising Office for annotation on candidates' academic records.
