Special Education Program at Plattsburgh State

With national attention focused on reforming education for all students, Plattsburgh State prepares special education teachers who are ready to help students with disabilities meet high standards.
At the undergraduate level, we offer a program in special/elementary education for the 1st to 6th grade. At the graduate level, we offer four different M.S. programs for certified teachers.
Programs of Study
- Bachelor of Science in Special Education
- Dual major in Special and Childhood Education (Grades 1 to 6)
- Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) in Special Education
- Birth to Grade 2
- Grades 1 to 6
- Grades 7 to 12
